Presbytery of Glasgow
The Presbytery of Glasgow is part of the Church of Scotland and is the gathered life of congregations within Glasgow and parts of East Renfrewshire, North & South Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire. Presbytery is all members of congregations working together to be mutually supportive and engaged in God's mission, and the Presbytery Office
supports the work of Presbytery, currently across 124 congregations.
With the recent national church initiative in Presbytery Reform we anticipate that additional charges will be added to Glasgow Presbytery. This will require renewed focus on building relationships between Presbytery and congregations and promoting collaborative work to enable congregations to further develop a missional focus in
times of challenge and change.
The role of the Strategy Officer is primarily to work with Presbytery Committees but also to build strong working relationships with Ministers, Kirk Sessions, and partner agencies across the Presbytery and to further develop interPresbytery working.
