Full Time Youth Worker, Ferrywell Youth project

Ferrywell Youth Project is looking for a full-time Youth Worker.

FYP is a Christian project that grew out of the work of SU.

FYP works with young people and family in Pilton, Muirhouse and Drylaw.

FYP also works with many of the local churches in the area and has a great and growing team of staff and volunteers.

Chaplain - Pastoral Care Committee

The Pastoral Care Committee now seeks, on behalf of the Presbytery of Edinburgh, to recruit a fourth Chaplain to join our team.


The main purpose of the role is to provide pastoral care for those engaged in recognised ministries on behalf of the Presbytery of Edinburgh and, by invitation where appropriate, their dependants.  This is a befriending and listening role, providing a ministry of presence.  The Chaplain will provide practical care which is holistic, person-centred and guided by the individual client’s needs and wishes and affirming of their gifts, and it is expected that the Chaplain will offer to meet with all clients at least twice annually. CrossReach Simpson House Volunteer Admin

Simpson House is a CrossReach service which supports children and adults affected by their own or someone else’s drug use. They are looking for volunteers to work alongside their administration team and help to provide reception cover and admin support. Volunteers will play an important role in welcoming clients and creating a safe, friendly atmosphere at reception. Their client’s first point of contact is by telephone. Volunteers will be trained and supported to take calls that may involve vulnerable clients.
